Most people know rubber bands can stretch but few know that they can jump.
If I put a rubber band around my first two fingers...just like that, it jumps to the other two fingers. What actually happened was the band jumped off these two fingers and then back onto these two fingers.
But if I lock the the fingers together like this, the rubber band jumps right through the fingers.
